Hey Guys and Gals!!

Well.....a rocky start for our boys in blue and orange....
Chargers beat the Bears 14 to 3:erk:

They weren't looking too good out there....

Oh well....there's always next week, right?

Vikings won....Packers won....looks like the Bears were the only ones in the division to lose...let me know if I'm wrong....

Anyway, GO BEARS!!!:headbang::kickass:

Hey Annie,

I figured I'd start a new thread for the regular season so
I moved you here! haha

Overall, the game was pretty frustrating, the turnovers were
the downfall and I'm really hoping that trading Thomas Jones,
the proven key to our running game, wasn't a huge mistake!!

The defense looked really great and shutting down LT was a
huge victory for them! However, continually being forced to
stop a potent offense in your own territory can only go on
so long.

Rex played well enough to win, I think, and handled the pressure
pretty good....although I'm by no means overly impressed, he
did make some really nice completions.

Not a great way to start the year but hopefully a building point
for a solid season.....let's just hope Mike Brown can play next
week and our running backs can hold onto the damn ball!

Oh, and yes, we're the only team that lost in the NFC North...go
figure....I think the division is going to be strong for a change!

GO BEARS!

Yeah....I saw that...looks bad, but then again what else is new eh?:err:
And in your words....FAAACK!!!
It definitely blows big time!!

Brown is such a huge key to the defense, it's a BIG
loss...I hope Daniel Manning can step up! Unfortunately,
I think this may spell the end of Mike's career, he hasn't
lasted more than a handful of games over the past
three years, it's really a damn shame!!

Did you hear about Kevin Everett from the Bills too? Sheesh....first they said that because of his injury, he wouldn't be able to walk again, let alone play. Now today I woke up and they said that he can move his legs and arms voluntarily!! It was really sad to hear that he suffered such a devastating injury, but I'm glad that he seems to be doing so well.
It's scary to watch a player "crumple" to the ground and just lay there and not move at all.

Well, hopefully Manning will be able to fill Brown's shoes, I know they were working him in camp over the summer in case something like this happened again, so we'll just have to see what he can do......

GO BEARS!!:headbang::kickass:

Happy Monday everyone!!

Bears beat KC 20 to 10 Woohoo!!!:headbang:

Good game, even though, once again, the defense carried us through. Nice sack by Urlacher....and of course Hester....jeez....no one can seem to stop this kid when he is on!!:worship:

What can I say about Grossman....ummm....except for two interceptions?....nothing:yuk:

Anyway.....GO BEARS!!!:kickass::headbang:

~Annie

i was expecting a very decisive and impressive win...however,
i'm left with...."oh boy, we still have no offense and a very
tough schedule ahead of us...." rex started ok but totally
tanked in the 2nd half....in his defense, though, we really need
to start picking up the blitzes or he is going to get demolished.

:erk:

:ill:

:(

we still won though, so i'm happy.....bring on Dallas, this will
be a true test for Da Bears!

Dallas 34
Bears 10

true test?? more like true disappointment.....i just can't
believe the team fell apart like it did but when your offense
can't do shit, the pressure falls on everyone else to try and
be the hero.

all i can say is that it's time! rex is not the QB at the NFL level
that everyone hoped he would be and it's now more apparent
than ever. the bears need a leader on offense and it's time for
the bears organization to swallow their pride on blowing a #1 pick
and move on....

griese is only a band-aid as many are saying, but hopefully he can
save the season from getting away and maybe orton can be the
guy of the future...guess we'll see....

Heya Chris!!

Thanks for posting...I've been hella-sick and laid up in bed since Monday night, so haven't had a chance to get here to post:zombie:

Anyway....that game SUCKED!!! Our offensive line crumbled on almost every play....Grossman just looked....well.....sad:erk:....and even the defense couldn't save this debacle of a game.

Looks like Rex is benched, and Griese is the man this week though, so we'll see what happens with him in the driver seat eh?

And...as a die hard fan, since '84, no matter what...
GO BEARS!!!:headbang::kickass::worship:

I'm glad I missed the Detroit debacle....WTF???

Anyway, I'm hopeful that the team can dig deep and muster
up an emotional win over Green Bay, in GB, this weekend,
otherwise the season is pretty much over!

GO BEARS!!

OK.....

Bears beat Green Bay 27 to 20!! hehehehe.....:headbang:

Do you see how I completely (not necessarily by accident) "overlooked" the Lions game last weekend? I was a lil ill, and getting ready for my first ever road trip to Atlanta!! My first trip anywhere, can you believe it? I'm still not sure about the whole plane thing....so we drove ugh.....
It was totally worth it, I got to meet and take a pic with Ray Alder *sigh*, he also signed my "Pleasant Shade of Grey" CD.....now all I have to do is meet Geddy Lee and I can die a happy woman ;) Sorry about the off topic convo....but was so excited to do the whole ProgPower thing I couldn't help myself hehehehe.....(btw....the whole reason I went,*Vanden Plas*, was a bust, they never showed), but I did represent Ion Vein and Twelfth Gate by wearing my shirts proudly!!
Now we need to beat Minnesota....:kickass:

Anyway,
GO BEARS!!!!:worship:rock::kickass:

glad the bears got it together in the 2nd half, i heard that
lovie chewed their asses out REALLY good...hopefully that
is the turning point for the season. it wasn't overly convincing
but i'm looking forward to a nice hammering of the Vikes.

i forgot you guys were going to PP....glad you had fun!!

GO BEARS!

HAHAHAHA!!!

As you can see I am trying to forget about the losses.....gah....:erk:

So....this weeks game was a nail biter though....
Bears beat the Eagles 19 to 16 :kickass::headbang:

Touchdown in the last 9 seconds of the game...everyone in the bar went nuts!! Needless to say, we pulled this one out of our a$$es!!

At least we aren't in last place anymore...sheesh

GO BEARS!!!:worship:

~Annie

As you can see I am trying to forget about the losses.....gah....:erk:

haha....yep, me too!!

well, it seems like Griese needs the game to be on the line to really
turn it up.....AND he called his own plays that last drive because
the headset was out.....hell, let him call his own plays all the time,
i don't care for Ron Turner's game plans anyway!!

we have some make up ass kicking to do with Detroit, let's hope the
D shows up...GO BEARS!!

Hey Chris!!
Looks like this David Haugh is on the money about the offensive line at least....I've said time and time again that it's not always the quarterbacks fault. Although some of it may be, but when the quarterback can't sit in the pocket long enough to even THROW the ball without being pressured by the other teams defense, then it's time to look at the guys who are protecting him...
Ok, ok, off my soapbox lol ;)
Bears beat the Raiders 17 to 6
Must say.....it was a pretty boring game....but, a win, is a win, is a win eh?

GO BEARS!!!!:headbang::worship:kickass:
~Annie

Hey Annie,

Yep, it's not all the QBs or RBs fault, the line is a bit to blame
but neither KEY position have been making good decisions the
majority of the year. I'll definitely take the W and Wrecksie's
little heroic TD pass but I'm quite sure the Seahawks are gonna
pound the shit out of us on their home turf....while they're
nothing at all to write home about this year either, they are
4-1 at home.

Ah well.....GO BEARS, let's try to finish the season with a little
class. :)
