Appropriate Heavy Metal Wedding Songs

er... I can't say Shamandalie is perfect. It's an awesome song but quite wrong for having just been married.

You saw us always clearer than me
How we were never meant to be
Love denied meant the friendship would die
Now I have seen the light
These memories make me cry

Dont forget:

"Feelings I had were but Sham-and-a-lie." Yeah, that really says I love you.
Otherwise its still a killer song.

At a sci-fi convention one year, I knew a guy who dressed up like Ming the Merciless and we threw a room party entitled "Ming's Wedding Chapel," complete with certificates of marriage, witnesses and of course that little clip of brilliance.

You rock, Pellaz... :headbang:

hahaha, great idea for a room party! Which SF con?

Edguy - "Theater of Salvation" - weighs in at about 13 minutes - may be too long.

I also like "You're Alive" - Savatage off of STREETS. Might be to short. If you use it, DON'T let it run into "Sammy and Tex"!!

BTW - "Lavortory Love Machine" is about the Mile High Club!! :Smokin:

Chris :headbang:

Redemption has a love song of sorts on their latest, Fullness of Time. In all honesty, I can't remember the actual name of the tune, but I believe it might be Sapphire. The song I'm referring to has love theme lyrics to it though.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?:err:

I've always really liked Stratovarius' 4,000 Rainy Nights too.

Sorry...just saw this.

Sapphire is a relationship song...about the death of love, the despair over a relationship ending, the never ending question about what might have been if things had been different, wondering if you've made the right choices in life, if you can live with yourself knowing what you've let slip through your grasp, etc.

If Sapphire was a moment in a film, it would be the end of Dr. Zhivago...where Zhivago finally sees the woman he lost 30 years ago out of the corner of his eye, and her train pulls away, and he has a heart attack and drops dead right there.

If played at a wedding, I completely wash my hands of any responsibility. I wouldn't recommend it. :)

Let this be a lesson, boys .....

LOL. So I'm trying to pick out some songs for our wedding. It's really hard to find happy metal songs so I did a google search for power metal wedding songs and this thread was the first thing that came up. ^_^
Guess I'll have to read it again and listen to some of the options people tossed out. We're currently leaning towards Nightwish's Walking in the Air.
