Heard 3 clips from the upcoming Kamelot disc. I'm stoked beyond words. Musically, the band has described it perfectly as a combination of their most recent discs. I could not be more happy with their vocalist choice. The power, emotion, and gentle nuances on display during the ballad gave me instant goose bumps.

Getting to see two shows in Atlanta with the new record/vocalist will be priceless.

Aaaah, can't wait! Do you know when will they be announcing the singer ?

Looking forward to it! Fabio stated at the Voyager/Rhapsody show that we should all be happy with the new singer (this was after I'd complimented him on the outstanding job he did touring with them.) All he would tell me is that the new guy is young and talented.

Imagine if Genghis Khan (Al Leong in Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure) replaced Khan, at least for the gig? Anyhow, yeah, DEFINITELY looking forward to this. Maybe they'll have their new CD available in time for the show with Nightwish (another band I can't wait to see, even though I caught their LA gig a few months back.) Booyah!

From http://www.bravewords.com/news/184933 :

Florida-based bashers KAMELOT - who recently returned to the Steamhammer/SPV fold for a worldwide deal, excluding Japan (the band recently signed with King Records for Japan) - are currently working on their new album, and have uploaded new drum recordings footage with renowned sound engineer Jim Morris at the Morrisound Studios in Tampa, Florida. Check it out below:

The title of Kamelot’s current release will be announced at the end of June, together with the name of their new vocalist. However, according to guitarist and composer Thomas Youngblood , one thing is certain: “Our fans can really look forward to our new record, because it represents Kamelot in every way!”

Youngblood on the style and content of the concept album: “The new songs sound more symphonic and melodic than our last two studio recordings. The material brings to mind albums such as Karma (2001) and The Black Halo (2005). In addition, this will be the best production that Kamelot have ever delivered. Because while other acts tend to opt for low-budget productions due to the difficult market situation, we have gone the opposite way: the new album will be a real statement, in terms of our compositions as well as in terms of our sound.”

Sorry, I've must of missed a bit of news. What happened to tommy & kamelot? I thought he was already announced as the replacement singer

You are correct. The posts in this thread from people not knowing who the new vocalist is were from early June, before that information was revealed.
