Your Personal Concert History

Well, i damn sure don't want to trry and post all mine as they started in 1967, with a show in Montgomery Alabama with THE WHO, BLUES MAGOOS, MITCH RIDER, ELECTRIC PRUNES, and includes JIMI HENDRIX, CREAM, BLUE CHEER, the original DEEP PURPLE, LOVE, and many more up till the latest NIGHTWISH, SONATA ARCTICA on Sunday.

:headbang: A Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Blue Cheer mention!! :kickass:

Went home to look at my stubs and realized I left a few off:

The Eagles Reunion at the Rose Bowl in 1994
Beastie Boys - 199? (piece of the backstage pass)
Lalapoluzza - #1 & #2
Sea Hags - 199?
Living Color - First Tour
Jack FM Concert with Stevie Nicks/Pretenders/ZZ TOP - 2008

Fleetwood Mac - Reunion Tour at the Hollywood Bowl.
Suffocation - Key Club - 2007
Scorpians/Whitesnake - Universal Amp. - 200?
Scorpians/Dokken - Pacific Amp. 2006 or 7

Ok think that's it.

This is a very cool thread but its nearly impossible for me to remember all the shows I've seen.

Some of my favorites have been (in no particular order)

Kiss/Motley Crue - Creatures tour 1982
Kiss/Wasp - Asylum tour 1985
Kiss/Great White/Trixter - Revenge Tour
Iron Maiden - every one!
Dream Theater/Galactic Cowboys - I&W tour
Dream Theater/Fates Warning - Awake tour
Accept/Lilllian Axe - Death Row tour
Queensryche - numerous times but loved the OM tour
Rush - numerous times but loved the Counterparts tour
Nightwish - saw 'em with Tarja and loved it
Scorpions - nemerous times but loved the Savage Amusement tour

Non-metal shows:
Cheap Trick - seen them numerous times and they are great every time!
Heart - one of my wife and I's favorite - amazing every time!
Paul McCartney - Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe 1990 - phenomenal. Period.

There have also been many "club" shows through the years that I have loved, such as Y&T, Yngwie Malmsteen, Cinderella (saw them in 1994 on the Still Climbing tour), Kamelot, Gamma Ray, Helloween, Sonata Arctica, Stryper, Stratovarius, Iced Earth......

I wish I had kept track of all the concerts I've been to. I started in 1984 or 1985. It's amazing, considering how much of a type A personality I am, that I haven't made a list yet. Uh, oh. New project!

I seriously hope you got some major tail as a result of attending these events!

Yeah, though its not like if you go to their shows, the pimply faced guy taking the cash will know who the hell you are... It's not like it will be if you were to show your face again at say, oh.......I don't know.... Chicago Powerfest?

You must not have been at the Cheap Trick, Heart and Journey show last Friday at the FMBA.
They sounded horrible....and no, it wasn't just the venue's sound that made them horrible.

No, I was not.
On of my wife's friends were there, and witnessed a woman slip on the lawn and break her leg! I guess the paramedics came and everything!

I last saw Cheap Trick at Taste of Chicago last summer.

I will say though, that MANY times I have seen Cheap Trick I have been EXTREMELY intoxicated, which may have added to the enjoyment.

All kidding aside though, they are a solid live band.

I think it's funny that Cheap Trick refused to tour as the opening band on the first KISS reunion tour in 1996, but have since willingfully opened for Aerosmith and Journey with a new lead singer......

......

Yeah, the entire lawn was a slip n slide....and people were actually using it as such...some willfully, but most very unwillingly.
It was probably one of the worst concert experiences ever....cold, wet, rainy, crowded...I've never seen the lawn so packed like that.....maybe Ozzfest 10 years ago. But it rained the entire time, which made for a very unpleasant experience.
Never again will I buy lawn tix.

Yeah, must be! Ha Ha!
Some of the older bands still have it and some don't. It's very interesting....some bands still sell out arenas, while others play small town community fests during the summer.

Maybe they didn't want to help put more money in Greedy Gene's pocket?
