Wow, that's pretty cool that you actually remember (or keep track) of all of them.

Though I have probably gone to as many shows as you may have (if not more), I can barely remember which ones I went to last year. Of this year, for that matter. Funny thing is that a few years ago (circa 2003) I could remember most of them.

But dammit, now I wanna somehow track all of the ones I actually did attend.

If I included punk, hardcore, alternative, rock, etc, the list would literally be 3 to 4 times as long.

Amazing memory.....

Right off the bat I can name my first and latest concerts.

First - Iron Maiden / Rock Goddess - 1981 (or-82) - Lund, Sweden

Latest - Cage / Seven Kingdoms - Tomorrow - Tampa, FL


Then there is about 100 in between that will take several days to remember and decipher.

Carcass - early 1993. My first ever gig @ the legendary Marquee club which is now a big chain pub. Remember it like it was yesterday.

Then I have a lapse in my memory. I cannot for the life of me recall if I went to any gigs in 94. I don't have the ticket stubs anyway though I know I did throw some away before I started to collect them like I do now.

March 20th 95 - Megadeth with Corrosion of Conformity.

Summer 95 - Death and Morbid Angel in two consecutive days. What a great 2 days that was. To finally see Death live was amazing indeed. Symbolic had just come out and this was the tour to back it up. Morbid Angel were touring Domination.
Maiden - X Factour with Blaze. My first Maiden gig was with Blaze actually.

Can't recall If i saw anymore gigs in 95. Probably a couple more.

In 96. I've git 1 ticket stub for a Metal Hammer sponsored 4-play night with 4 indie type bands. I must have gone to some other gigs though. I started getting quite heavily into Cathedral at this time. I've seen them the most of any band. Possibly 6 or 7 times in total.

In 97 only 3 that I recall but possibly more - Megadeth on the Cryptic writings tour in October. Next day Testament for the first time! So another big thrash double whammy there!

Saw Machine Head for the 1st time in December 97.

In June 98 saw Cradle of Filth. Mainly cause Old man's Child were supporting and I really liked those guys at that time.

98-late 2000 is a blur. I'm sure I must have seen Cathedral and Napalm Death a lot during this period. Plus various other odd gigs of which I have no recollection. Oh yeah definitely saw Opeth for the first time in this period. Also Morbid Angel a lot.

December 2000 - saw Stratovarius for the first time.

Feb 2001 - saw Hammerfall for the first time with support from Virgin steele. What a great gig that was!

March 2001 - saw Helloween for the first time. As I recall Blaze was supporting.

28 March - Saw King Diamond for the first time.

1st April - 2001 - A Metal Odyssey. 5 bands. Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, Lacuna Coil, Nevermore, Susperia

May 2001 - Bob Catley and Ten

July 01 - Megadeth.

Nov 01 - Gamma Ray - Edguy

Feb 2002 - Iced Earth. Near 3 hour headline show with no support. Amazing night.

Mar 02 - Tad Morose. Great gig at a near empty venue. Barely 50 people there.

Mar 2002 - Maiden with Bruce for the first time.

Apr 02 - Immortal

May 02 - Annihilator

June 02 - Virgin Steele

Oct 02 - Dragonforce

Late 02 - Opeth again. I recall seeing Decapitated round about this time as well right after their debut album was released.

There is no possible way I could ever remember them all. It would be easier to list bands I have not seen it sometimes seems. I have thought of trying to list then out but just can't remember them all until the name pops up and it jogs the memory.
My girlfriend started to make a list of all the ones she has seen, I told her if she was going to do it start now because 29 years down the road it is hard to remember them all.
I know I have not seen some of the bigger ones that I should like Priest and Maiden. Fuck Metallica. I regret not going to 'Clash of the Titans'. Always wanted to see The Cure. And thought dying in a pit at an Exploited show would be a nice way to go. Never saw The Exploited either. And there was a time I would have like to have seen Skinny Puppy. Would like to see Kate Bush as well.

Both were good shows especially Return to the Sabbat. Martin is the coolest frontmen ever. The Catley/Ten gig was a dual headline and a lot of fun for melodic rock fans. I don't think either Ten or Bob has toured since. Well Bob plays with Magnum of course but no solo gigs as this was. BTW a new Ten album is in the works and if it falls in the lap of the melodic rock gods it will be released by Frontiers on 10-10-10! Now that's a pretty cool gimmick if it actually happens. The only thing which lets it down is that it will only be Ten's ninth Studio album.

There's no way I can remember all the concerts I've been to, so I'll just list the first and latest...

First: Dec 1983, Van Halen on the 1984 Tour
Latest: Keep It True festival, Lauda-Königshofen Germany (Watchtower, Fifth Angel, Warrant, Anacrusis, a.o.)

There are a few metal bands that I want to see, that I somehow missed with At the Gates, ARK, Angel Dust, Nocturnal Rites and Powermad at the top of the list. Other than those, there really aren't any I can think of that I want to see that I haven't.

I've forgotten a few. Halford in 99 with Helloween support. UDO in roughly 2002-3 with Grave Digger supporting. Blind Guardian with Astral Doors supporting a few years ago. Threshold about 5 years ago. Dark Tranquillity twice as I recall now.

Bands I would like to see but most likely never ever will. Manowar, Axel Rudi Pell, Anything with Jorn/Masterplan and most of all Running Wild which is sadly now an impossibility since Rock n Rolf is too old. I rate anyone who has seen them though. No one so far in these lists. I'm thinking we need continental Europeans to fess up here. There must be one surely!
