Yo! Laser's Edge...can you get this?

Ken, I'm not sure when this came out, but I recently became aware of a Pallas release called Wearewhoweare. Seems it may have only been self-released? Have you ever seen this?

"Pop" songs with some appeal to the metal

I think Butch Walker is a friggin' genius.....I've been a fan since the Marvelous 3 days.

    Best Cd Titles

For reasons that I can't explain (I guess it just amuses me), my favorite album title has always been: Soul Asylum - Say What You Will Clarence....Karl Sold the Truck

Ken - Any chance you'll be getting the new Caligula's Horse?

Coney Hatch return with a bang!!!

Awesome....excited to see them back in the saddle. Coney Hatch was one of my favorite bands in the '80s - all three of their albums were great. Now, if Kick Axe would reform (with George Criston on vox) and tour with CH, all of my dreams would come true. :)

    Anathema/Alcest U.S. tour

As will I. But I'm surprised they're playing a place the size of the Marquee...I wouldn't expect them to draw that big.

    Sabaton lineup

Infinitely? So, there can be no more tightness?

    Kingdom Come - Outlier

I'll have to check this out as I haven't heard anything from Lenny Wolf in a while. As mentioned, when KC first came out, they were a total Zep clone, but eventually it essentially morphed into a Lenny Wolf solo project and they moved away from that Zeppelin hard rock mold. He has had a nice...

    Orange Goblin US Tour!!!!!!!!

I'm actually going to the Phoenix show, but I'm there to see Clutch. I've never heard Orange Goblin, but have heard/read good things about them. I'll be sure to get there in time to see them.

    Audrey Horne - Youngblood

Cool, didn't know they had something new....it would be their 4th album actually (the first three were No Hay Banda, Le Fol, and s/t, in that order). I discovered them with Le Fol, which I thought was awesome and in my top 10 that year. The s/t follow-up was a bit of a disappointment for me...

    Where to start? Shadow Gallery

Tyranny is definitely the best thing they've done. And I have to agree with you on the vocals....I always felt Mike Baker was the weak link in the band; in fact, DC Cooper guests on a song on Tyranny, and there's definitely a sense of "what could be" hearing his voice. Still, Tyranny is a...

    HEADSPACE: I Am Anonymous

I think this is a fine disc, but the godawful title of the 6th track automatically disqualifies it from being considered as the #1 album of the year.

Help JOLLY Recover From Hurricane Sandy And Go On Tour

Personally, I like the first album better than Audio Guide...Pt. 1.

    Deftones - Koi No Yokan

My problem with Chevelle is that they have one pretty good song, and every album contains 12 versions of the same song. As far as this nonsense about relevance, it's just that: nonsense. Deftones just played a packed show here in town that sold out a couple weeks in advance....Nightwish...

    Deftones - Koi No Yokan

Well, what genre would you put them in?

    Deftones - Koi No Yokan

Glenn's dopey ( :) ) reaction aside.....I've only had a couple of listens to this so far, but initial reactions are that it's a really stellar disc. It seems a bit more subdued (well, that's a relative term when talking about the Deftones) than Angel Eyes, which works for me. "Tempest" is an...

Avenged Sevenfold - Carry On - WHAT THE ????

Hey, truth hurts, in my case. Well, except for the "musician" part. :D

Avenged Sevenfold - Carry On - WHAT THE ????

Didn't seem asshole-ish to me...he just seemed exasperated by the silliness of some of the posters. If that's assholery, then I guess I'm guilty as well! :)

    New Kamelot - Silverthorn

I think he's *always* been stellar and has written incredible solos throughout the history of the band....that guitar solo break in "I Love You to Death" brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it. I've always maintained that Youngblood is one of the most underrated guitarists in metal, and he...
