Hmmm... I was browsing a local cd store, and ran into a progmetal cd for ONE DOLLAR!!! I must admit, it was kind of cheesy... Has anyone heard of the band Power Symphony? I don't know. The cd was ok, but it was definately worth it for a dollar - I find it rewarding to sample stuff, you know, you can just give it away, sell it or throw it away if you don't like it. Have you guys discovered anything cool from cd's under 5 dollars? I got an Iced Earth cd for that price.

I got Iced Earth - Stormrider for 5 bucks from some deal Century Media had going at their site. Thats the cheapest i've ever gotten a cd for.

I've found that it's difficult in the US to hear about bands, let alone find their music in a store. If you do find metal albums, there's no guarantee that the bands you'll find are any good. Every once in awhile, you'll get lucky and a music store dude will order a cd for you. Cheapest cd purchase: Opeth - still life (digipak) for $10.

I got Kamelot 'Karma' and 'Siege Perilous' for $7.99 each. All the used CD stores around me are filled with crap, and so I was quite lucky to find those two, let alone any other cool stuff.
