Lots of Doro, Warlock and Sister Sin in preparation for tonight's show. While I wasn't the biggest fan of her newest, I must say it's growing on me a little. Still nowhere near her best.

I still give that one a play on a fairly regular basis.

I know that I'm a fanboy, I admit it! With that said, I do think this is a very solid effort from Zak and company. He's went into a much more melodic, polished sound here as opposed to the last two albums. Also, the use of keys (thank God) is very present here, giving the music more of a Savatage sound. I would have liked to have heard more background vocals being used though. Overall, I'd give the new album a solid 8 out of 10. I'm looking forward to hearing CIIC perform Wake of Magellan at this year's Showcase!

Finally get to listen to this album for the first time! Tommy is such a damn good singer. Really taking a break from metal this year.. maybe playing one metal album a day if I'm really interested in it like today... I'm not headed to the festival with that said this year.
