I don't know about the top 10 keyboardists, but I can definitely tell you all my 10 favorite. No particular order...

Keith Emerson
Jordan Rudess
Michael Pinella
Kevin Codfert :worship: Next Profundis
Derek Sherinian
Jens Johannson
Kevin Moore
Chris Ingles
Kevin Codfert again :p
Tuomas Holopainen... Not for playing, but much more for writing. I don't care, Ghost Love Score is awesome.

I'm still waiting to hear how good of a keyboardist Oliver Palotai actually is. He can play Kamelot's previous keyboard parts, but I really can't wait to hear what he's got in store for the next album.

I can't name 10, but I think these should be added to the list:

Arjen Lucassen
Joost van der Broek (sp?)--Works with Arjen
Rick Wright--Pink Floyd
Per Wiberg--Opeth

Michael Pinnella
Jordan Rudess
Keith Emerson
Rick Wakeman
Richard Andersson
Kevin Moore
Tony Kaye
Fabio Laguna
Jens Johansson
Derek Sherinian

I hope your inclusion of Tony Kaye is based on: his playing on the first three Yes albums, having seen him live, having heard him play live.

In case you don't know, Trevor Rabin played most of the keyboards on those three Yes albums.

Keith Emerson
Jordan Rudess
Michael Pinella
Kevin Codfert :worship: Next Profundis
Derek Sherinian
Jens Johannson
Kevin Moore
Chris Ingles
Kevin Codfert again :p

You might have to reconsider Chris Ingles if his inclusion is based on the solos on "Carved In Stone." Gary Wehrkrampf played most of those. Ingles probably played most of the Piano stuff. I can't honestly tell you specifically who played what, but Wehrkrampf played most of the solos. Ingles was away at school during that period. The segues, of course, are all Wehrkrampf.

Jen's Johannson (Stratovarius)
Janne Warmen (Children Of Bodom)
Michael Pinnella (Symphony X)
Tuomas Hopalainen (Nightwish)
Eddie "Shreddie" Bethisou (Mindwarp Chamber/DSG)
Vitalij Kuprij (Artension/Ring Of Fire/Solo)
Andre Andersen (Royal Hunt)
Vladmir (Mirrorthrone)
Alex Starpoli (Rhapsody)
Mikko Härkin (Sonata Arctica)
Me *cough*

Matt Guillory - Dali's Dilemma, Mullmuzzler, James Labrie, Explorer's Club.
John Paul Jones - nothing technically crazy but wrote some cool shit.
Geddy Lee - again nothing techincally amazing but some timeless hooks.

10 most influential keyboard players to me are (in no specific order):

Derek Sherinian (Planet X)
Thomas Bodin (Flower Kings, Solo albums)
Anna Sofi Dahlberg (Anekdoten)
Andy Tillison (The Tangent)
Scott Kinsey (Tribal Tech, Uncle Moe's Space Ranch)
Neal Morse/Ryo Okumoto (Spock's Beard)
Tomas Johnson (Anglagard)
Richard Barberie (PT)
Lars Frederik Froisle (Wobbler)

Heres my top 5, I'll add more later if I think of any more...

1. Vitalij Kuprij
2. Tony MacAlpine
3. Jordan Rudess
4. Michael Pinella
5. Derek Sherinian

lol? To be perfectly honest I haven't heard much of Kuprij, but everything I've heard is just shred wankery. The first thing I listened to was a solo on youtube, and he was goin absolutely nuts and I was half asleep by the time it was over.
