Synths on Opeth's "damnation"...

Been listening to this album quite a bit lately, and it's really great.. i love the strings and other synths/effects on it as well, but what are they and what keyboard did they use for it?
I remember reading on this forum they used a keyboard for those, and someone knew exactly what brand and model.. im curious now.

I know you use reason, it has some decent mellotrons in there.

I thought Per uses mostly the Nord Lead for the stuff, so it's not a real Mellotron on Damnation. However, I think they did use a real one on Watershed.

Per didn't play keyboards on Damnation, Steven Willson did. You can see what he's using on making of D&D part of Lamentations DVD. I can't remember what it was.

I remember seeing Steven play it on some old synth, so I guess he used a plugin or sample library that he triggered through MIDI.

Mellowsound VST does (did?) a good job at the Mellotron sound, both the stringed version and the choirs. The host site for it is gone though, you might have to scour the net for it.

Willson appeared to be playing a Nord Electro (1? 2?) on the DVD.
Mellotron sounds are probably from a sampler / plugin, but the electric piano sounds most likely come from the Electro.

i remember that
i love the material on that album but the sound of that mellotron gets annoying as fuck quickly
im sure they could have thought of some other textures to use as well as the mellotron
