Hey Vintersorg, or any Vintersorg fans, are any of you amateur astronomers? What kinda of scope or binocs do you have, how long have you been doing it? Any favorite objects?

Haha, hope im not the only one who is obsessed with astronomy :)

We have 2 telescopes at my house but usually they stay in the attic unless I wanna look at the moon or something like a comet.
But I love to star-gaze.
Especially with females, dammit.:yell:

Well... when I was a kid I was extremely obsessed with astronomy(7 years old to +/- 12 years old, I guess). A lot of my friends said that I didn't have a childhood because I did studied astronomy since I was 7. But from 12 to now kinda stoped... I still love astronomy but here in Brazil we don't got lots of chance to cientists.
I think that(subconciously) made me stop thinking so much about it.
When I had listened to mr. V for the first time(Cosmic Genesis album) I got a bit of that feeling back.

But I guess it will never be the same... My new passion is advertising.

Oh, and I have a small telescope(more like a spyglass) that I use when I wanna look to the moon or a comet or Venus. But now, here where I live its kinda hard because theres lots of buildings.

I have a Meade ETX- 125 EC w/ UHTC coating

heres a pic of it, it also has a computer controller (Autostar) with GO TO capabillty with sidereal tracking.

My favorite object/area would be the whole the whole Cygnus star field, simply amazing! Looks best in binoculars, so if anyone has binoculers, just take a look at the area around the cygnus constellation which is in a perfect spot now.

Oh, here are some wide angel shots i took of the moon recently byt just holding my digital camera to the eyepiece and hoping for the best.

I am a bit interested about the subject, but have never really done anything about it... except, like 15 years ago, playing with a telescope with my brother.
But I´d like to someday really put an effort to it and study.
