Asshole. What makes him a bigger asshole is the Redemption cd. He needs to be called out on that.

Don't get me wrong I think what he is doing is so totally wrong, especially with the Videos and the Redemption CD, and also with his claims to being the Mexican Distributor for Nightmare Records, as Lance says above "News to Him"

Naw, I was just shocked at the $180 price and then when I saw that it was pesos and he was not really making a profit on the cd, I just stating that it was still wrong. Nick said that if someone did just this very thing that he would never let us have a release early again. And if other bands hear about it they might think twice on trusing us as well. All it takes is one asshole to shut the party down...in this guys case it seems he is the hole ass....not just the hole...

I actually met the guy and exchanged business cards with him. I am still in disbelief that such guy, who seemed to be like a nice person would do such a thing.

But more seriously, a poster of some sort with every bootlegger caught would be pretty awesome. Post in in front of all the doors and all of that good stuff. Also, any idea why a good portion of these links are getting asterixes (asterices?) in most of the url? For instance, I can't go to the url that has his photo because it's http://www.*****************************/blah blah blah/img.jpg
One suggestion I do have is somehow making it known not to use cell phones for pics and videos. Maybe there was something already in place for that, but I don't recall seeing or hearing it (other than on the forums of course...but not all attendees come here). If it was in the program that's great, but I don't read the program until I'm at home honestly. I saw someone using a cell phone for pics during a set and told them that it was not allowed and why, and they put it away.
Obviously this guy goes beyond cell phone recording though. I think it would be great for him to come to the next PP next year and be run off not only by the crew, but also by attendees.
As far as the Redemption CD goes, it totally sucks that he's selling it. However, I don't recall if I was told at the show "Hey, this is really special, if you plan on selling it on ebay -- wait for the release date". So in all fairness to this jackass, he might not have known the situation for the CD. I only knew because of the forum.

I'M NOT DEFENDING THE GUY! REALLY!
All his videos (so far) are from Showcase. The loud camera policy posters went up Friday (to not confuse the crowd attending some other event at Vinyl on Thursday.)

I see so many people at the venue with digital cameras that aren't sponsors. Regardless of the signs, if people aren't getting checked at the doors, they're simply just going to keep bringing their digital cameras in.
