Porcupine Tree - The Incident (2009)

I'm not a fan of that heavy distortion tone at the beginning of the preview... it seems to have been in SW's arsenal since at least "Signify"... but has taken on more prominence as the "metal" influences have grown in PT's music. I find it quite abrasive and suffocating... which I suppose is...

    A-ha

Any A-ha fans out there? I've recently been exploring some of their newer material via youtube. Sadly, here in the U.S. A-ha is regarded as just another one-hit-wonder from the 1980s (even the U.S. hit "The Sun Always Shines On T.V." seems to be forgotten). "Take On Me" is an amazing...

Galactic Cowboys to Re-unite for three live shows

:kickass: I haven't heard much Galactic Cowboys other than their final record... which I own... I don't really care for the "killer" song posted... but I somewhat enjoy the rich laid-back harmonies of their final album.

    Bruce Dickinson Solo Work

"Shoot All The Clowns" is an awesome tune... can't believe it was left off his Greatest Hits compilation. A couple of my favorite Bruce songs are on Disc 2 of his Greatest Hits... "No Way Out... Continued" and "Re-Entry"... I like hearing Bruce in non-metal environments.

Porcupine Tree - The Incident (2009)

I'm not a big fan of 55 minute songs... most songs over the 15 minute mark are pretty mediocre... most likely this will really be a collection of many songs and musical interludes connected by themes... it may even be split into tracks a la Fates Warning's "Pleasant Shade of Grey". That...
