Any thing to see in the venue area?

There are a few touristy stops in Atlanta. Although, none are all that interesting. There is the Coca Cola factory, CNN, and Underground Atlanta. Underground Atlanta is nothing more than an undeground mall. The tour of the Coke factory is pretty lame. If you are looking for nightlife, go to Buckhead. It's a fairly small town that is just overflowing with bars.

Last year, everyone made the mistake of going further into downtown Atlanta. There is nothing there other than the park and the underground (mall).

Folks should pay the $1.75 and ride the Marta up to Buckhead. While there aren't really "toursity" things to do, it is a very diverse area with ecletic shops, bars, restaurants, etc.

well since I am a native of Atlanta, there is a couple of historical sites to see downtown, one is the Margrett Mitchell house with a tour, costs about 7 bucks, but is a very interesting tour if you liked Gone with the Wind. Also there is Oakland Cemetary, one of the most historical Cemetaries in Atlanta,Margret Mitchell is buried there ,along with a golfer named Bobby Jones, and several Ga governers, there is also a place that you can stand ,where you can see what one of the Civil war generals saw ,and that was the burning of Atlanta, and besides that there are many beuatiful moseleums to look at. the cemetary conducts tours also at no charge ,or you can walk around it by you self with a map.
We also have the Varsity,a Fast food land mark that you must visit while you are here, its near the MM House.then there the Planet Hollywood, and a Hard Rock Cafe.
there is also the Martin Luther King burial site and memorial.
Well thats about all I can think of for now, unless you can rent a car and would like to go to the SIX FLAGS THEME PARK,or STONE MOUNTAIN PARK.
