"Heavy" power metal: A dying breed....

I need to tell someone of this album, maybe you guys have heard it or may not. But not many albums get repeating spins with me these days due to so much coming in but Anvil Chorus I cannot get enough of. For the past two weeks this album keeps finding it's way back through my speakers.
It has been out for a little while now but I have just recently gotten around to it.
So take the suggestion or not but this stuff is good. I think it is so good that like bands like Anacrusis, Wicked Maraya, and Depressive Age it will just go unnoticed. By the way wasn't comparing the band's sound to those bands yet oddly it works.

I don't think Narnia is very heavy at all, really...I mean, it's Melodic Metal, but I think we're talking about the heavier, more aggressive bands like Morgana Lefay, Tad Morose, etc...

Narnia's latest is their heaviest by far. May wanna check it out. I think either Lance distributes it or it's on his label.

I just received this disc and think it is awesome. I dont know if this is what Glenn is looking for but it sure the hell is what I am looking for. I just dont understand how something this good gets by me.

I also have Darkology on the way, I hope it is another winner.

I am having trouble finding Monolit - Arcana Balkanica, any help would be appreciated.

Yup, the FRACTURE disc is brilliant! It's a perfect mixture of Angel Dust, King Diamond, Judas Priest and early Evergrey :)

besides having a listen to my own stuff, I think this thread is in need of some Dark At Dawn, I just skimmed once more through it and somehow they are not mentioned. How some bands have almost no attention is baffling..bad marketing be damned and all of that..

to get you started:

Not bad. Sort of reminds me of a mix of Gamma Ray (musically) and Grave Digger (vocally). For the vocals, that's probably gonna hurt them in terms of long-term popularity as Grave Digger's vocals are definitely the type you either love or hate, and the vocalist for this band's are even more an acquired taste.
