OK, here goes nothing. I will roll the dice on this

FRIDAY:

1) NIGHTWISH w/ The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra - This will blow the lid off Evergrey's effort this past PP.
2) Visons of Atlantis - This is a REAL crapshoot for they are on an alternate headline tour with Edenbridge that starts in Hong Kong on New Year's Eve. I have a feeling that this will not hold.
3)Redemption
4)Virgin Steele
5) Raintime

SATURDAY

1) DREAM EVIL - Fredric Norstrom's brainchild would make this a complete blockbuster weekend.
2) After Forever - Floor Jansen makes her triumphant debut in the USA
3) Seraphim - The "Nightwish of Asia" also makes their US debut. Quinn Weng would start the debate of who is the top female frontwoman
4) Firewind
5) Katagory V - They have an album coming out around the time of PP. And why not give these guys the opener here? Glenn gave Stride the same spot with less at PP VI.

OK, get out the wet noodles. I am prepared for the lynching.

#5 I'm guessing a decent prog band but I'd pull for DGM

If DGM were to show up in a slot that low I would be extremely psyched (not to say I would wish them a short set, but that it would leave room for even bigger acts for the higher slots). DGM gets far to little credit for the enourmous amounts of ass they kick.

I see Vanden Plas as a headliner these days. They would fit nicely as the Friday night headlining act.

Nocturnal Rites would be a great fit for this fest, but I get the idea that they might not be on the list because they played Powerfest this past year, and don't have that "first time in the USA thing going" for them. I say who cares .. they were a fabulous live band, and people would be raving about them afterwards. They were "Brainstorm" good live, and that's saying something.

Symphony X is probably going to make their return to Prog Power this year, and it's probably perfect timing since they will have a new disc out, and will be extremely relevent.

Astral Doors in that #2 spot might be a slight reach, but I thougt Epica was a big reach last year as a #2. I almost see that #2 thru #4 spot as being kind of interchangable.

Mystic Prophecy will hopefully be on the bill this year. They are coming off their best disc, and are perhaps a little overdue to play the fest.

Tomorrow's Eve gets the Saturday night opening slot. They would be a great Prog/Power fit, and helps give the fest some of the prog side. I love their latest disc.
