Zakk may just whip Ozzy's ass...

+1

It's like Zakk forgot how to play and just focused on his image, ultimately making himself look like a complete douche, because yeah...it's all talk.
Glad the beefy biker look worked out well for you Zakk!
Good riddance....

A HUGE AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:worship:notworthy

Well, no matter what anyone thinks of Zakk's image, antics or skill it still isn't the right way for his "boss" to end thier working relationship together. Zakk may owe his fame to Ozzy but Ozzy does owe his continued existence to Zakk in many ways. No Rest for the Wicked was the shot in the arm that Ozzy needed back in the day and it is a great album. They had many popular songs working together.

Yeah, screw that. A true test of a guitar player is if they continue to grow as a musician AFTER making a name for themselves. Zakk's playing and general musicianship has remained stale for years. Ozzy keeping him around for so damn long was already an immense sign of respect and goodwill. The Ozzy camp has always been an incubator for upcoming badass guitar players. It should remain a revolving door, IMO.

It would be nice to see Gus G work with Ozzy, but that would probably just waste Gus G's talents given how Ozzy's musical style has changed since Ozzmosis.

Ozzy will probably get the guy from Soundgarden or something. Or Faith No More. Or maybe one of the Jonas Bros.

Anyway, Zakk has been with Ozzy for over 20 years. When a working relationship like that ends, you tend to take it hard. Especially when it's being ended with such little class.

Exactly. and it won't have the virtue of making Ozzy and better. If Gus G leaves Firewind, Ozzy will still suck too. Unless Gus G can pull off a miracle and get Ozzy back to his 80s heyday. But I doubt Sharon would ever allow that.

If Gus G. joins Ozzy, Firewind will suck.

I would hate to see him leave Firewind.

I have seen this type of comment at several places online. Do most people not realize that Firewind "IS" Gus G? No Gus G no Firewind. This is HIS band, and has made that evident on many occasions. Firewind isnt another Dream Evil/Mystic Prophecy/Nightrage scenario. Gus started Firewind in his teens in Boston MA.

Hypothetically speaking if Gus joined Ozzy......either Firewind would go on hiatus, resume business as usual, or just end.

So in this corner one we have Ozzy, who hasn't created anything worth owning since 1986's The Ultimate Sin. And in the other corner we have Zakk, whose successfully put out the same record five times in a row. This has all the drama of Menudo and New Kids on the Block arguing over whose more relevant.
