Nightwish/Kamelot *confirmed* for Wed/Thurs Shows

So, I just get an E-mail from enter the Vault speaking of a "possible" 3 night added for Atlanta due to such rapid ticket sales. Anyone else get this e-mail? Just a ploy to get people to buy em now? Or is this for real?

It is a legitimate email that was sent out from EtV. It's definitely not a ploy - we take offense to that! :(

EtV also states that we broke a record today for the most tickets sold in the shortest amount of time ever... 20% in the first 5 hours alone. We were asked if we were interested in a possible 3rd show on Tuesday, and we told them it would just depend on how well the other 2 nights did.

Also, the EtV website crashed today due to the overwhelming response.

Absolutely NO offense intended. That's great news that sales are sooo good! I already bought my tix for thursday night. Just found it curious no one else commented on it yet.

Jen was very diplomatic with her reply. Personally, I thought you asked a dick question.

It didn't read offensive to me. The email AND announcement that went out didn't mention anything at all about a collaboration with ProgPower festival, and so my first thought was the extra show would be billed on a Friday (which has obvious implications). I'm glad it's you guys discussing the possibility and are ... em.. 'behind' the 3rd show discussions, but I think EtV needs to get their shit together in how they handle these announcements to avoid confusion.

Just a thought, back to the joy! Someone convince me I need to come in on Wednesday.

This is a great lineup for people, but I think this is the first Progpower I go to, where I won't be attending the Thursday night. I am intrigued by the new Kamelot, depending on who the singer is, but I just can't justify an extra hotel night when I'm not the biggest fan of Nightwish live nowadays.

Pat, you need to come in on Wednesday. WTF else are you gonna do? Work at ASU that day? Screw that man, come join the fun. I'll be taking my girlfriend for the first time this year and she is stoked. Nightwish and Kamelot two nights in a row with possible different sets? Nuff said.

Honestly, even if NW played the same set I wouldn't complain. They didn't do a whole lot of variation in 2004 and still best 5 shows I've ever seen. However... Kamelot... I just.... not right now. Maybe I'll like them more with a new singer but I just never got into them.

We'll see about it. It's a long commitment and I'm old and tired. haha.

All other things aside, isn't this one of the best things ever for fans and for the festival? I'm so ridiculously stoked to see these shows and in addition, so hyper pleased that it has a positive impact on a festival that matters so much to me. All this frantic ticket purchasing is awesome and the addition of so many other people to the usual crowd can only be a plus to the fest. I hope the nitpicky stuff that worms its way around the forum will dissipate soon and everyone can become super pleased that this has enhanced our experience and the current and future viability of ProgPower. If a Tuesday show becomes part of the schedule, I'm all over it! Peace, people! This is awesome.

I really hope the sales for the Nightwish show bleed over into "HOLY SHIT WHAT IS THIS PROGPOWER THING?" and infuses the fest with new faces. I think it'll be great due to the increased popularity of Nightwish since they played the main stage.

Might have to do this one. No Dallas date, and they're playing that absolute crap hole the Diamond Ballroom in OKC, a place I SWORE I never would go back to. Emos in Austin, a maybe, but, in general, with a few exceptions, I expected better venues on the whole for this tour.

This will actually be at Emo's East, which is over on Riverside. It's actually the old Backroom venue. But it's been completely gutted, remodeled and the stage/floor area is now 2 stories. Nice size stage, good lights, and a damn decent sound system... Nothing like the Emos downtown... I'll be catching this tour there also.....

So in for Thursday. If there is tix left for Wednesday in a week or so I will get on of them too! I cant fkin wait!! Wait a great show..You rule G

PS I am pretty bummed to see that the charge from Vault went up from 9.25 to 11.25 because of the hype. I mean when its comes down to it, business is business but I could have waited for Ticket-bastard but I didnt want it to sell out and I am attending no matter what, so it is what it is but at the same time, things need to be said

For just right now, only a Thursday night Ticket has been purchased, but that doesnt mean Wed. will not come later

Yes. However, we just confirmed that a change was made late this afternoon to the website to remedy an issue international customers were experiencing when attempting to purchase tickets. Please log completely out of enterthevault.com, open a new browsing window, and try again. Thank you!

Thank. I will try to buy today

Wow, that is ridiculous. It was $7.50 when I bought my tix around 11:00am Central time.
