Official All-Star Jam Set Discussion

Oh yes, I noticed, and I hated it. It's so fucking disrespectful to women. I hate when bands do that. I will not listen to their music much less buy an album because of it. I was not impressed. And if i remember correctly, it wasn't just boobs showing on the album, it was practically full-frontal nudity... band of cocks...

You must also hate the a lot of other art work then (like the Venus de Milo). The Pagan's mind cover is very artistic; It is black and white and reminds me of a lot of greek art (Nils is a great graphic desiner; I love all of Pagan's Mind's art work).

Unlike the dancer, there is nothing sexual about that cover. I think the dancer was tastless and inapproriate; however if you are offened by that T-shirt and think that it is disrespectful to women, you have some serious issues....

Hearing that just strikes me funny coming from the name RigorMortis (assuming you are a fan and that is were the name comes from). But defending the honor of women like this doesn't often impress women. Besides bands have done this forever. No matter if the women are nude or not. Kamalot and Skylark know that the women on the fronts well grab attention as well as Ron Kell knew it would work on the 'Lay Down the Law' cover the same with 'Slippery When Wet'. Don't underestimate women. I believe they know to take it in stride.
Seriously, do you think a Nightwish-esque band would sell as much is they had a fat ugly female fronting them? No they would not. And the band and record labels know this that is why they pimp their singers. Really can't say they don't just look at all the ads and pictorals of the new Nightwish. Not saying it's a bad thing, just the way it is and more power to them.
So if were does one decide at what point it is disrespectful towards women? Besides that is for a woman to answer anyway.

My mistake, perhaps you are a female? If so all I could say is that some maybe offended. I know that one standing behind me thinks it's pretty stupid to be offended by it. Especially when you think there are women out there like that Jasmine St. Claire chick who makes women in metal (or associated) lok really bad.

Floor really floored me. :OMG: She has a wide vocal range, and is a very nice person as well. (She really took all the technical issues in stride and really liked the audience).

I bought the latest AF album because I really like the sound of the whole ensamble. I'm not a harsh vocal fan, but Floor's voice makes up for it and then some.

While Epica played last year, Simone's voice is just not as good as Floor's voice is. I'd like to see the two of them perform together on stage one day because both are great peformers, but if I had to choose one - Floor gets my vote hands down.

Always thought she was amazing. I thought they would work well. Never got into the lyical content (to much like a soap opera) but the band is extremely good. Not to mention she was sexy on stage. Hope I did not offend any women there. LOL

First of all,(to all who replied to me not just this ass), I've never heard of a band called Rigor Mortis, I made it up as far as I'm concerned. Second of all Tarja Turunen is a beautiful woman, and I've never seen her boobs, that's why I like and respect her. Guys buying her album because she is hot is their choice, honestly I think it's assinine to buy a cd just because of its cover or singer's appearance. Metal is music. Yet I certainly will not buy an album I can't stand to look at or despise the members. There are no whorey female bands in my collection.

I have issues? Fuck you. I'm a woman and it is very degrading and embarrassing when another woman has to go and be a fucking idiot! I don't have issues, I have morals-you might want to check the dictionary for that word...
About the art thing. I hate greek and roman art! So don't be pulling that argument, i don't look at the shit. I prefer non-nude art. A woman can look perfectly lovely with clothes on. And I didn't see anything artistic about a naked torso. Your right though, women have no honor, I don't know why I just keep on overestimating them.

It is NOT stupid to be offended by such things! There really are people in the world who don't like to see flith, believe me. I only look like an oddball because I'm outnumbered here by a bunch of horndogs. And look who I'm talking to. Sirs, believe me there are MANY things we disagree on. I'll just argue about this the hardest because I'm a woman who has morals, standards, and an honorable reputation myself. I'm concervative and I'm a metalhead, so basically I fit in nowhere. I still say metal and porn should remain separate. I don't care about pervert bands here and there (they are avoidable), but when I go to a show I'm gonna be pissed when they bring out the whores.
