First off, I wanted to comment on how much of a testament it is to Glenn's knack for putting on killer festivals that tons of the suggested bands on these threads are repeats.

First, a festival i'd like to see, with no repeats (damn this was hard, and it still keeps changing in my mind):

(Tried to pick ten bands of relative draw to be reasonable in the slots given, though this list slights a few of them, i figure.)

1st slots: Hollenthon, Distant Thunder
2nd slots: Lost Horizon, Spastic Ink
3rd slots: Seven Witches, Arcturus
4th slots: Gordian Knot (or a Cynic reunion), Annihilator
5th slots: Virgin Steele, Therion

and my best educated guess for what will actually happen:

1st slots: Stride, Zero Hour
2nd slots: Mercenary, Lost Horizon (here's hoping)
3rd slots: Magnitude 9, Chris Caffery
4th slots: Evergrey, Sonata Arctica
5th slots: Stratovarius (or Kotipelto), Angra (or Shaman)

Ryan

My top 10 in random order(barring those from past years):
1. Moonlight
2. Sonata Arctica
3. FREAK KITCHEN
4. Orphaned Land
5. AYREON
6. Warmen
7. Enchant
8. Pallas (No, not really*metal*, but I can dream)
9. Within Temptation
10. Sun Caged(...or are these guys no more?)

Here is my wish list
in no particular order
Angra
Blind Guardian
Shaman
Balance of Power
Vanden Plas
Nightwish
Nocturnal Rites

God! so many bands list could just go on & on...........

In no order:

1. Sonata Arctica
2. Dead Soul Tribe
3. Freak Kitchen
4. The Gathering
5. Mercenary (is it just me or does the new album kick's major ass!!!)
6. Orphaned Land
7. Mechanical Poet (you might not have heard of them but you WILL!!!!)
8. Shadow Gallery (if they ever will perform live)
9. Evergrey (this is a given...Glenn must have these guys every other year :) )
10. OSI (that would rock!!!)

1. Conception - Reunion rumours have been floating around.... They would be perfect!!!!
2. Sonata Arctica - I dont think these guys have hit the states yet.
3. Evergrey - I know it's a long shot but Glenn might be able to get them!!!!
icon_wink.gif

4. Freak Kitchen - Very interesting band
5. Symmetry - Their latest is a masterpiece!!!!
6. Antithesis - Their 3rd should be out by then....
7. Redemption - Their 2nd should be out by then....
8. Sieges Even - Would be great to see these guys live!!!!
9. Watchtower - These guys will be on my list until I actually get to see them!!!!
10. Communic - If the early buzz is any indication this band is gonna kick ass!!!!

Alternates:

Alchemist
Anubis Gate
Eldritch
Manticora
Pathos
Platitude

:headbang:

After reading all of these bands names I realize that many of you must not be familiar with MOB RULES. They are awesome and would be great for PPVI.

1. MOB RULES
2. Dream Evil
3. HAMMERFALL
4. Arthemis
5. Royal Hunt
6. Pink Cream 69
7. Magnitude 9
8. SHAMAN

It's an even numbered festival, so Evergrey will be on the bill.

Preparty: (insert local Atlanta area band here), Pharoah, two other upcomers

the big stage (not in running order):
Conception reunion
either Dead Soul Tribe or Psychotic Waltz reunion (we can still hope)
Freak Kitchen
the previously mentioned Evergrey slot
Orphaned Land
HevyDevy
Alchemist
Pink Cream 69
Arcturus
Wolverine

Without knowing which bands want how much money, and how those numbers fit them into which slots, combined with who will be available and who will have recently put out a new CD, it's impossible to say.

Zod

I'll just name 10 bands in no particular order:

Symphorce
Steel Prophet
Nightwish
Masterplan
Evergrey
Primal Fear
Poison Black or Charon
Circle II Circle
Mob Rules
Helloween

:headbang:

If Sonata Arctica, Pyramaze, and VIRGIN STEELE (must be a closer on either night) all showed up I would be happy.

David Defeis is in my opinion the most talented man in metal. I know I might be in the minority but hey.

Ben

Nightwish (unless they do a headlining tour for Roadrunner before PPUSA 6)
Evergrey (of course!)
Sonata Arctica (it's about bloody time!)
Therion (wishful thinking, I know, but they've NEVER played the States)
Mercenary (no, Tony, it's not just you :))
Magistral or Stride
Angra or Shaman
Ayreon (more wishful thinking!)

Oddball choices menu:

Vintersorg
Arcturus
the return of the mighty Devy
Children of Bodom (for a headlining set, they haven't done so yet here)
Opeth (for a long set, contractually required to play "Black Rose Immortal")

Funny I just drew up my wish-list yesterday here at work.....

My biased WISH list (and if somehow FOUR of these actually come true, I'd be one happy ProgPower attendee....):

ENCHANT (this would make my whole DECADE)

Magnitude Nine (Dying to see these guys)

Threshold (missed PP 3 :yell: - and nothing, not even another hurricane, will keep me away for THIS band...)

Superior (Germany represent - these guys kick ass and put on a great set at PP2 - new double live CD due out before end of year and work started on a new studio CD - which would be out by the festival probably)

Pagan's Mind (No comments necessary - book 'em, Glenn-O)

Evergrey (is it just me or should these guys somehow be the 'official festival band and always have a slot?...)

Chromeshift (the obscure band choice - Ripples in Time is a SWEET fucking disc..)

Symphorce (Our loophole for getting Andy Franck back - Oh and yeah, this band just happens to fucking rock too...)

Suncaged (hopefully they'll have their new singer soon <know they got their keyboardist> - give 'em a regular slot!!!)

Fates Warning or ENGINE (as cool as Fates would be, as I love 'em and have yet to see them live, I picked up Superholic by Engine at PP and am LOVING this friggin' disc.... never thought a cover of Fascination Street could kick so much ass...)

Gotta agree with the Vachssmeister on a lot of these...

My lineup differs a little:
ENCHANT
Threshold
Pagan's Mind
Dead Soul Tribe
Evergrey (GIVE THEM TWO FREAKING HOURS, GLENN!!!!)

Symphorce --agreed Andy RULES.
Dreamscape -- Just to break all the rules...
THEN...to really go in a new direction...Run these three bands at the end:
Therion
After Forever
Nightwish
Not that I don't mind the "sausage party" we have here every year, but it would be great to bring on acts that the ladies like--remember, for our ranks to grow, we have to breed! The only thing cooler than going to PP6 would be to HOOK UP at PP6!

OK here is my abriged list:
1 Nightwish
2 Therion
3 After Forever
4 Evergrey
5 Rhapsody
6 Threshold
7 Solitude Aeturnus
8 Gamma Ray
9 Orphaned Land
10 whatever oddity that kicks ass!!!

I promise this is the last list for me!!!

For the pre-party...... Brother Cane !! I don't know if Damon (vocalist/lead guitarist) can "invent" another lineup but BC's Southern tinged (based in Alabama) hard rock has enough "heavies" to be a great main act for a PP pre-party. Damon is one hell of a frontman as well.
