I was trying to watch my $$$, but did manage to make a few great scores…

Malison Rogue – S/T (someone in line said this sounded like a non-sucky Queensryche, so I had to pick it up).

And speaking of Queensryche, I was going to pick up their latest disc, even though they’ve been breaking my heart for the last 10 years. I was curious to hear it, and figured the $$$ would go to a good cause. Turned out I asked every single vendor, and no one had it. Guess they figured it wouldn’t be a big seller!

Picked up mostly new stuff or new stuff to complete discogs and also bought albums that weren't on Rhapsody. This is basically all i'm buying until next year's festival or at the one or two shows we get in NC

Primoroial (i thought it was Primordial but thats how it is on the disc) - their first one

Evergrey - Glorious Collision; even had the drummer and one of the other new guys do the honors of unwrapping the cd at the signing table
Marty Friedman - Tokyo Jukebox - closet thing I'll get to buying Japanese metal atm - this is basically j-pop songs re done in his style
Beyond Twilight - The Devil's Hall of Fame
Artizan - Curse of the Artizan - only picked it up after seeing them live; previously was a rhapsody listen
Red Circuit - Trance State - wasn't on Rhapsody or Spotify (Homeland is i think on spotify or maybe trancestate)
Pagan's Mind - Heavenly Ecstasy
Falconer - Armod (very close to my middle name, Armand actually) - no falconer on rhapsody or spotify unless you want to buy digital tracks, which I don't like doing

Wanted to buy Mercyful Fate - Melissa; Crimson Glory - Transcendence ... they only had the discography box set @ $100! i thought it was an inventory #; some japanese visual kei like Onmyouza but i figured i wouldn't get that at the merch.

Plenty of music for the 5hr30min trip back as I forgot to bring a usb cable to transfer rhapsody library to my 4gb mp3 player

Way, way, WAY too much. I really went overboard. I don't know what vendor it was, but the vendor at the back-middle of the room against the wall totally raped me. haha. I really wasn't expecting such a good selection of stuff. I did get a lot at the Insider but I was expecting that one...as well as a few cds from some of the other vendors. I guess not buying many cds period this year sort of caught up with me and I went crazy...and a little embarrassed but without further ado:

i REALLY REALLY REALLY tried not to get more than 5 CDs this year as part of a new plan i had to keep my CD buying under control. well, that $8 sale put an end to it quickly as you can see below. the Duran Durans were special orders naturally.

For the collectors out there i use a program called Collectorz.com to keep track of everything, which comes in handy at things like PP as to not duplicate purchases.

Finally got the motivation to check out Serenity, eh Simon? I'm so stoked to see them coming again (hopefully successfully this time).
