Gigantour Second Stage Bands

Dave posted over on the Gigantour site. Bodom is out. Scheduling conflicts. I say bring over Brainstorm! They would go over good with this crowd, plus they have a new album out.

Well, Fuck I would have liked to see Bodom, Brainstorm would phenomal to see. I am in love with Liquid Monster. Symphony X would still be a good headliner.

Yess Brainstorm would be great on this tour. I just won Liquid Monster from CDInzane and am having my first listen right now...sounds awesome!

Well, Overkill is off the list unless they are only going to be on from Aug 6 - like Sept 12. They just lined up a slew of dates after the 12 in canada and the US.

This from Portnoy froums:

Can't believe there are three Florida dates. That's great. Looks like I will be going to both the Orlando and Tampa shows. Can't miss the one in Orlando because it's in such a small place and now with Tampa added it's right in my backyard! It's going to be a killer show. I just wish they would announce the other bands.

I thought originally they would bring it to Tampa at the amphitheater, but the Forum works just as well for me. I will be at the Orlando & Tampa shows, as well, and maybe the West Palm show.

7/24 - Los Angeles, CA - Verizon Wireless Amphitheater (NEW!)

Second stage will apparently be a soapbox, because this venue only has one and is pretty small to begin with

Children Of Bodom not working should be a sign to Dave Mustaine to forget about that silly band :)p) and get Pain Of Salvation back in there, assuming it was something on Dave's end and not their end that caused them not to be on his list of "bands I'm still interested in." That would be great.

Not that Children Of Bodom isn't a good band.....and they're a really great live act, but Children of Bodom would be like....oh, neat, while Pain Of Salvation would be like.......you know:

YAY!!!!!

It couldn't possibly be because of these already scheduled shows:

July 22 - 23, EarthShaker Festival (Germany)
Aug 5 - 6, Gates of Metal (Sweden)

Alright, well Dave Mustaine has failed with the next band.

Playing in the 4th spot on second stage.

These guys are cool. Hope you think so too. Check 'em out.

COG!

And their description of their music:

Describing the band’s sound is difficult, however the press and newspapers have often compared their sound to that of new metal artists like System of Down and Disturbed fused with the lyrical aggression of hip-hop pioneers Wu-tang Clan and song structural elements of classic rock pioneers Queen.

I get a mental image of Boba Fett, hawking Soloflex exercise equipment at 4am on some cheesy cable channel.

Mind you, this is NOT a good thing to have in your head and I wanna go get a mindwipe.

How do you know he failed? :bah: Have you heard anything by this band? I haven't heard of them, but i will give them a fair shake. I'll reserve judgement for later.

Ouch. I'll go wait for my turn at the port-a-potties then.

Well, thanks! Now I'll have that stuck in my head for the next few hours!:loco:
