Another Kamelot tour?

I'd also like to see them at the Bottom's Lounge again, parking isn't too bad there. That's one of the few downsides of a City show, hard to find parking. I'm not sure how large MoJoe's is, but I was at their last Bottom's Lounge show during their Poetry tour, and it was pretty packed for that, maybe they are looking for a bit larger venue? I agree through, I'm in a northern burb, and unless it's a show I really want to see, I usually skip the drive to Joliet.

I may have miscounted due to jasons ego being so large.

LOL X 1000000000000000

@ Milton - Seriously not trying to be an ass here......

Just saying having played MoJoes a handful of times, and dealing with the promoter there, I had more of an inside look at how many "paid" attendees were at a show.

Power metal in general doesn't do what it used to do here in Chicago overall.

As I said,I am a casual Kamelot fan, and though I didn't appreciate the attack from Jen, I will be passing on this show (For me, not interested in the support bands, and secondly and most important, will be out of town). I was going to see the NW/Kamelot Chicago stop but it was the week I had hernia repair surgery. I do go to shows, just a hell of a lot more selective than I was 10 years ago.

Back on the topic of Kamelot in Joliet....
For the band and for MoJoes, I certainly hope it does well.....

Are you talking about the last Rhapsody tour with Voyager? I am more inclined to believe you than Bob on that, since that tour didn't draw good numbers at all.

Yes, I was shocked at how low the attendance was.
Maybe 150.

The whole "City" VS "Suburbs" thing in Chicago has been the subject of debate for MANY years here. No one has the answer.............

I randomly met Casey Grillo while working a trade show this week in Orlando. Very odd seeing a musician at the kind of shows I work... he was nice enough though. I think I made his day by 'calling him out'. No fanboy moment or anything, but I knew what he looked like.

Delain Fan number one, CAN I GET A BIG WOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOO :D HAPPY DANCE!

Being that I have to drive a minimum of 2 hours to see ANY band, it makes me smile when people in Chicago cry about having to go "all the way out there" to go see a show. :)

I agree. Having lived in Mississippi where pretty much nobody goes, I usually drove to Atlanta for concerts (6 hour drive). Now that I am in Louisville, some bands will come here, but I still don't mind driving to Chicago if need be to see a concert.

KAMELOT - Service Charges Slashed On Remaining Tickets For Upcoming North American Tour

Florida-based KAMELOT have issued the following announcement regarding their upcoming North American tour:

"As only a handful of tickets remain for the upcoming US/Canada Kamelot tour, service charges have been slashed!

- All GA tickets will now have a $2.50 service charge
- All VIP tickets will now have a $4.25 service charge

Tickets are available at EnterTheVault.com.

As previously reported, Kamelot have released their new video, for the Silverthorn album track, 'My Confession', featuring classical crossover quartet, EKLIPSE.

I wish they were coming near me. I would go in a heartbeat.

Also I love how low EnterTheVault's service charges are. Those folks are pretty great, imo.

I was planning on going to the Worcester show, but I picked up a show with ORCumentary so I can't do both. I didn't realize both were on the same day until a month after or so lol. Luckily I didn't get my ticket in advance. My only other option would be to go to New York City the day before.

I might be okay with skipping though. Normally Kamelot's sets suck. They always seem to play the same songs live and they don't even play very many songs. Personally i'd be fine with hearing another song off POTP, Silverthorn, or The Black Halo as opposed to that dumb Forever singalong they ALWAYS do (which takes up the span of 2 or 3 songs). I'll have to see what they do for a set though.

I might go to this just because I'm curious to see them with Tommy. I skipped the Fabio tour which in hindsight I shouldn't have done just so I could maintain my seeing them every even-numbered year pattern I'd had going since 2004. Combo breaker!

I'm still really tempted to catch the Baltimore show. It's the night before I leave, but I have an all day training session the next day. Plus it's Baltimore on a weeknight, which is a huge pain.

Yeah, looking at their recent setlists i'm officially not going to a Kamelot show again until they actually mix up their sets and don't play the same songs 24/7. Super disappointing, not to mention they only play 13-14 songs.

Kind of funny, seeing my posts going from "YEAH I'M GOING!" to "FUCK NO" in this thread.
