While I love Anathema, I don't know if people would be ready to have someone like them as a headliner, maybe a lead-in to the headliner though. I sure as hell wouldn't complain though.

While I can see where you are coming from, at the same time Anathema hasnt played in the US in YEARS and I think if Therion can headline so can Anathema.

It depends. I think it's very possible you could get a number of Anathema fans who aren't necessarily fans of the other acts. At the same time though, are there a lot of Anathema fans that will pay that much to see them?

Here goes:

Friday:

7) Artizan
6) Tesseract
5) Powermad
4) Vintersorg
3) Jag Panzer
2) Devin Townsend
1) Falconer

Saturday
6) Sun Caged
5) Cynic
4) Astral Doors
3) Volbeat
2) Kingcrow
1) Rhapsody

I predict one correct guess!

It's that time again.....

Here are the rules:

1. List the roster of bands in order from opener to headliner on each night (i.e.: #1 = opener)
2. There will be 7 bands on Friday & 6 on Saturday.
3. You will recieve one point for the correct night, two points for the correct band, and three points for the correct slot.
4. You are allowed only one entry. It must be posted in this thread by July 16th.

Winner receives a complimentary ticket/gold badge to all four nights next year.

Good luck.
We gonna get the excel spreadsheet again this year>

Is this more a wish list or a guest? Think TTD might finally get a chance to slay that announce? HAHA
I could see Ghost being possible, um maybe not... But pretty Maids would be well worth admission alone.

A bit of both. If it was a pure wish list, I would have included Wolf, Starbreaker, Allen-Lande and maybe Saxon.

Friday
1. Dakrya
2. Echoes
3. Kingcrow
4. Malpractice
5. Wolverine
6. Galneryus
7. John Arch and friends

Saturday
1. 4th Dimension
2. Clandestine
3. Loch Vostok
4. Sun Caged
5. Wolf
6. Symphony X

I won this contest last year. I still don't know how that happened. Proving that I really don't know much about music, I submit my entry for this year. I chose not to put in any oddball bands, because there's no way in hell I'd ever get that right.

Fri
1 Aska - US under-the-radar band kicks off the fest
2 Cynthesis - Big buzz and high album ratings from some of the Zero Hour team
3 Kingcrow - Many expected them to play this year's fest
4 Grand Magus - A northern 'viking' band is now mandatory, right?
5 Serenity - Glenn tries again for the melodic power/prog band
6 Wolverine - Masters of mellow make their PP debut on the heels of a new album
7 Masterplan - Jorn returns to Masterplan and to PP (Russell Allen comes out for an Allen-Lande encore song)

Sat
1 Jolly - Buzz and a Harveston recommendation get this prog band an opening slot.
2 Sons of Seasons - Keyboards and a prog/power blend
3 Arcturus (Just Kidding!) Mystic Prophecy - Traditional power metal - huge catalog
4 Falconer - Appeasing the crowd on a long requested band, just as they release a non-English album
5 Pretty Maids - Satisfying the 'old school metal' slot, and another long requested entry
6 Symphony X - Yes they tour the US. Yes, they've been here before. Yes, they draw a crowd.

Steve in Philly (who thinks this lineup might be a little expensive, but not crazy back-loaded on headliners)

I would have to AGREE totally with this selection, and damn i forgot them on my list, they would be perfect. If not the main fest then The Showcase definetely

I thought those shows with Blackfield were canceled.

Some were. Everything leading up to Steven Wilson's father's passing went on flawlessly. I was there. :)

My first shot at this slot machine...

Friday:
(1) 7 Kingdoms
(2) Amaranthe
(3) Eumeria
(4) PowerQuest
(5) Falconer
(6) Nightwish
(7) Helloween

Saturday
(1) Aeon Zen
(2) Halcyon Way
(3)Tesseract
(4) Edguy
(5) Firewind
(6) W.A.S.P.

I mean, Glenn doesn't restrict bands from mingling and signing stuff, and doesn't charge for the autograph tables - Blackie digs that, I'm sure...
