Albums that you *LOVE*...and everyone else hates...

Does anyone remember that band Heaven that had that song called "In the begining"? The song was basically made up of several other rock/metal songs.

It's sad I know, but I used to like that song. I suck!

Bravo! Great Thread! There are many albums I love that pretty much everybody else hates

Iron Maiden - XFactor ... My Favorite Maiden album ever!!!
Judas Priest - 98' Live Meltdown
Iced Earth - The Glorious Burden
Flotsam & Jetsam - High, Unnatural Selection, My God, Dreams of Death
WASP - K.F.D.
Galactic Cowboys - All Albums
Winger - Pull
Savatage - Fight for the Rock

There are many others that are not coming to mind at the moment

I have Heaven- Bent on vinyl.

Have to agree on BOC- Revolution By Night. Great album.

Don't know how "hated" they are but add:
Alice Cooper- Constrictor & Raise Your Fist and Yell.
Blue Murder- S/T
King Kobra- Ready To Strike
Black Symphony- Tears Of Blood. (No one seems to care this exists as far as I can tell).

Superior, Younique. Widely regarded as a disappointment after the brilliance of behind, I always thought it got short shrift. Sure, they got a bit more experimental and diverse on it. Isn't that what progressive-minded bands do?[/QUOTE]

I _love_ "Younique". One of my favorites.

Okay, here we go...I really like Midnight's "Sakada"...more than Crimson Glory's "Transcendence". (Ducks for cover)

NP: Superior "Behind"

I would have to say, in my opinion, that Coop's Raise Your Fist And Yell is one of the best hard rock/metal albums of that year. I remember driving around all week listening to that non-stop when it came out. :headbang:

IMO, Raise Your Fist And Yell is one of the best music albums, period. I would love if they re-master it.

Some of the albums that keep reoccuring are Turbo(OK I knew people hated that one but I've always dug it) and Savage Amusement. The later probably get more playtime than any other Scorps album around here.

I'll have to add:
Extreme-Pornograffiti (Who threw that!!?),
Mr. Bungle's first album (my college roommate and I would put it on whenever we wanted to clear out our room)
anything STYX (yeah even Mr. Roboto)
Andrew WK's first(only?) album is just loud goofy fun
Black Sabbath Headless Cross/TYR (I always think of them together for some reason)
anything Stryper (I have no justification for this)
Def Leppard-Hysteria (I couldn't listen to it for about 10 years but listening to it now is like going back in time)
Van Halen-Balance
Queensrych-Hear in the Now... (no wait, that one does blow)
Crimson Glory-Strange and Beautiful
King Diamond-House of God

That's all for now

Well, I won't try to compete with the Midnight album, but I'll file as an "also-ran"

I like Vixen's "Tangerine". I LOVE the song "Tangerine" and "American Dream" is good too.

I also enjoy putting on the Skrapp Mettle CD every once in a while, although I'm not sure if it's hated or not.

Europe - The Final Countdown

To hell with The Final Countdown...I think Prisoners In Paradise is their finest work...

What the hell is wrong with me?

Rock on!

Queensryche - Tribe
Third Eye Blind - discography. (never said it had to be a metal album  )
Metallica - Load & Reload.
Nightingale - discography (apparently there's no Swanö love around here)
Unicorn - discography. see ^
Sirenia.
Spock's Beard - Feel Euphoria
Pink Floyd - The Division Bell
Pineapple Thief - Variations on a Dream
Papa Roach - Getting Away With Murder (no, this is no mistake.)
Burst - Origo
100 rock/alternative bands.

I'm on board with Swano...gotta love those albums...

Rock on!

Alright...I haven't waded through all 7 pages of this...and my notebook's about to die...therefore, let me kill this thread right now.

My pick -- Tokyo Blade's "Black Hearts & Jaded Spades"

Choke on that one, eh?

Rock on!

how about Savatage Fight for the Rock? Oh wait,I hate that album too with the exception of 2 or 4 songs

We could throw in Empty Tremor "Alien Inside"
Led Zeppelin Presence
Black Sabbath Never Say Die
Badlands Dusk

Whoa, whoa, wait just a minute here! I love Badlands, so you have another vote from me!

SKRAPP METTLE!!!!

Should never EVER be hated, it's a priceless work of art!

That Load and Sherbert have some of the BEST inuendo lyrics ever recorded. Hell the whole album is an inspiration to all :headbang:

220 Volt - Lethal Illusion (their best album even though released after their breakup and only with the demos)
Deep Purple - Slaves and Masters (Deep Rainbow worked IMO)
Extreme - Waiting For the Punchline (Dark themes in Pop music)
Harem Scarem - Overload
Heart - Private Audition
Glenn Hughes - The Way It Is
Rage - Welcome To The Other Side (OK so maybe others don't hate it but most consider it a weak album)
Streets - Crimes In Mind (Pop Power)

Helloween - Chameleon :p

(yes, I really do love it!)
:Smokin:

Me too!...Fuck yeah!

Even if Kiske castrated the band...hell, I'd pay to hear him fart...

Great album...although, not really a traditional Helloween album...

Rock on!
