Prog nonetheless. I'm not trying to argue, so please no one take it as such. But, why can't you prog people see the forest through the trees? If the situation was reversed, you'd be marching with torches and pitchforks.
Everyone should own Crystal Logic!!!!
Now go pick up Omen's "Battle Cry" and thank me later.

It's not our fault that Prog bands are better musically than Power bands

In Most cases this is true, but in my case I first listened to Power Metal, Power Metal only, I thought Progressive Metal was too blah, Now, yes I am a total Prog Maniac, but the Power Metal still holds a place in my heart, and i still enjoy it a lot. So to limit your taste to either Prog only or Power only, is in my opinion, like saying I only eat rice. I have recently really gotten into Folk Metal, and believe it or not Melo-Death, granted i do not like the extreme harsh vocals, but every now and then, if it is done right it enhances the music. So, lets just be thankful we have the festival, and go and enjoy the Prog, and Power, and sometimes Thrash, and Traditional Metal, and maybe come away from the 4 or 5 days in Atlanta with a new band we want to listen to.

Not all the time, unless you're a prog snob. I can't think of Power Metal bands who are much better and more technical than Prog Metal bands.

Are you going to tell me this isn't lopsided?
Honestly Sword, I feel like most of the bands on the roster are more "cross over" bands this year than anything. Meaning, that the bands appeal to both power and prog heads. That's just my opinion though.
well said, brother, well said.
Except Orphaned Land...I don't consider them power or prog...they are just....differently amazing. Ethnic Metal, perhaps?
Prog is still in your description, though. How can Emerald Sword put FUTURE'S END under "prog" if anything they are "POWER THRASH with PROG OVERTURES".
Ocean Spray Cran-Apple juice has cranberry with apple juice added. But, is it still not cranberry juice?:Smug:How can Emerald Sword put FUTURE'S END under "prog" if anything they are "POWER THRASH with PROG OVERTURES".
