number of friends in bands up that way - Aeth3r, Rock U, VVX among others...

to show *MY* age - used to hang at the Thirsty Whale when Enuff Z'nuff used to play there all the time
grew up on punk/metal/hair
knew The Alley when you could only enter THRU the alley
and i remember when "night games at Wrigley" were protested

as for food...Orange Garden at Irving/Lincoln/Damen for some tasty Chinese (and a 1920s feel to the restaurant)

Who do you know in VVX? I ran into their guitar player at the first Whale Reunion, about a year and a half ago, maybe 2 years ago? Volpe?

You've got to try Lou Malnattis. Virtually the pizza I've EVER had, and I'm used to NY/NJ/Phillys. Have been wanting to have it shipped to me across states it's that good. Btw thanks for the links to the bands.

You've got to try Lou Malnattis. Virtually the pizza I've EVER had, and I'm used to NY/NJ/Phillys. Have been wanting to have it shipped to me across states it's that good. Btw thanks for the links to the bands.

It's the best I've had. I'm very very happy that I work about half a mile from the original Lou's location.

I used to live walking distance from the one in Buffalo Grove. I still prefer Ginos over Lou's, but they are both the best deep dish Chicago has to offer, IMO....

Lou's sometimes does bad things to me digestively. Might be a seasoning in the sauce. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it rivals the White Castle effect......It still doesn't stop me from eating @ Lou's
