ProgPower 2014 Wish List

Liege Lord has plenty of power in their sound IMO. Maybe not the polished power metal with keyboards and triggered drums, but power.

Honestly if people go so bonkers for Savatage (well, ok, maybe not the best Savatage records), I don't see a problem with bands of that particular leaning going over well.

One band I forgot to add to my list, with Nuclear Blast backing and the thumbs up from the PP Master himself, that I would LOVE to see: HELL.

Threshold
Sinner
Mercury Tide (with some Angel Dust songs in the setlist)
Sinister Realm
Dream Evil
Nocturnal Rites
Eclipse
Tank (the Doogie White version)
Audrey Horne

If 2014 is the last year for PP, which I hope it isn't, then I might suggest:

Returning: Pagan's Mind (headliner), Stratovarius, Mustasch, anything Jon Oliva, Theocracy

New: Kontrust, Kontrust, Kontrust!!!

There are so many bands I would love to see that haven't played the fest before, but these have to top my list.

Anubis Gate
Suncaged
Hibria
Dark Moor
Vindictiv
Anthriel
Powerwolf
Silent Voices
Aeon Zen
Ashent
Voodoo Circle
Fullforce
Cloudscape
Lalu
Sybreed

Did I mention Sybreed??

This on the preshow with Headspace or Threshold on the main fest would be pretty perfect.

Returning bands:

Haken
Leprous
Seventh Wonder
Edguy

New Bands:

Thank You Scientist
Anathema
Beardfish
Ne Obliviscaris
Powerwolf

NeO and Powerwolf would be so fantastic to see live.

As for the topic thread, I'll play along:

Friday
Nightwish
Orden Ogan
Sybreed
Manegarm (Wildcard)
Manimal
Aska

Friday
Pagan's Mind
Powerwolf
Threshold
Sacred Mother Tongue
Trail of Murder
Cynthesis

VOI VOD
CONFESSOR

Just a couple off the top of my head that are proggy and oddball enough which could bring in a different crowd.

also, maybe some death / doom / dark metal, a la:
MY DYING BRIDE
SATURNUS
NOVEMBERS DOOM

Sad part is I like Soen more than Tool...but neither more than 1000 other bands....

I only have one...and all indications are that there is a better chance of seeing Ayreon.....

Wuthering Heights.
