Roll Call - Whom here is from IL ?

Hey Dubby-kins, I just got a snake (not the trouser kind :p) and I think you'll appreciate the name - Moon Unit Zappa. If the snake actually turns out to be male, I'll shorten it to "Zappa." :D

"Baby Snakes" may or may not have had something to do with the name selection...

What Lou's??? Of course!!!!!!!

Oh my... pleaaase dont do that again...Lol... Salivating like a dog. Oh my.. Extra tomato sauce on the side...jwoqjosojiwskokpdl

It's the best I've had. I'm very very happy that I work about half a mile from the original Lou's location.

SO lucky. We have family friends that have like legit (I'm thinking possibly mafioso) pizza who are straight from Italy, I LOVE their pizza, but Lou Malnatis is a one of a kind that should be a delicacy:) I can't remember but I think we'd get extra tomato sauce AND extra cheese. So good.

LOL!!!!! I think I would make a really scary female......:heh:

Lou's sometimes does bad things to me digestively. Might be a seasoning in the sauce. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it rivals the White Castle effect......It still doesn't stop me from eating @ Lou's :heh:

Lol.. poor guy. Wait.. ok no combination of words makes me sound like a non douche in response to this. Laugh for the last sentence, no laugh for the stomach problems? How's that.

Didn't know there was so much love for Lou Malnatis:) I thought it was my secret. Glad you guys like it or at least know about it. Save me some;) Don't know how far it is from China town, can't seem to remember at least.

Just keep it away from my cat, Dweezil!
Actually, when it gets bigger, and if it's hungry, I will bring it raccoons! :Smokedev:

Ah, it's no problem, hell, I laugh at my own digestive distress.... As long as it's not from onions, they make me grumpy, toxic, and cramp! Lou's is awesome, and used to be a once a week lunch stop back in the old days when I worked in Schaumburg. I'm quite happy to have a Gino's up here in Lake Geneva, though...Even in the cheese state, there is no pizza quite like Chicago deep dish.....Always remember, Lous DOES ship pizzas to wherever you live....I know if I ever leave this area, I will be ordering at least a couple times a year!

Ha, I'm happy I'm not the only one who noted the sort-of-charming amateurness of their press releases. I checked out their site when this thread started, and loved the line:

"Angelical Tears is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and will bring a solid, if not, phenomenal performance to Chicago, IL." What?

Neil

Hehe! Everyone's gotta start somewhere, right? I'm just glad that I finally get to play a gig in Chicago! I've always wanted to!

A Chicago thread, Glenn's favorites lol..

I think if I remember the original topic of this yeah there are quite a few bands in the city most have been mentioned but here are a couple that missed the thread.

Rival, District 97, Something Beautiful

Food you cant go wrong with any of the big pizza places here but if your wanting some awesome thin crust you have to have Barnabies. Now Pizza isnt the only good food in the city you have to get a Beef sandwich, Al's Beef and Max's Beef on Western and Peterson. Then when your having that you should wash it down with some of Chicago's best brewed beers, Half Acre, Goose Island and Metropolis.
