seriously????? they are a world known act from the 80's through now. They started as a punk band then went crossover to psychodelic / stoner metal kinda. Even if you are not into that music I am sure you have seen at least 1 person somewhere wearing their shirt.

I honestly find it hard to believe you wouldn't know who Corrosion of Conformity are.
I mean, even if you don't know their roots, their modern era lineup has some star power.
Their guitarist / Vocalist is Pepper Keenan, who is also in DOWN, and was one of the top 5 considered to replace Jason Newsted in Metallica.

Yeah, did you ever see the SOME KIND OF MONSTER doc?
He was pretty much offered it, but turned it down, feeling he would be more of a "go through the motions" player, as opposed to someone with more of a presence, like Trujillo.

I did see it actually, but it's been a long time and it was before I had been listening to Down. Because of that, I'm glad he didn't get it as I like Down more nowadays than Metallica.

C.O.C. is touring with Clutch in late July/early August. Clutch is playing a radio festival in Madison that Saturday. C.O.C. is not playing the festival & has an offdate on July 30. It could easily be a favor for the agent like Jason mentioned. It could also be that they would rather book the national band that would potentially bring in higher liquor sales.
Pepper is not touring with C.O.C. This is the "Animosity" lineup of Mike, Reed & Woody. They are sticking with the hardcore punk music.
