Cheers and Jeers IX

So that's what/who you were talking about. The names didn't match up with the only Hardy Boys I knew...

I (purposefully) know nothing about wrestling. ;)

I had the same problem, I was thinking Shaun Cassidy and Parker Stevenson from the Hardy Boys show WAY back when, & neither of them had color streaks in their hair..

Thanks for the compliment. Im sure the majority of the people didn't have a problem with my new look, and besides that one sour apple in the basket isn't going to change my mind about me liking the way I look and me being comfortable and positive about it.

and btw, Jeff Hardy is the bombdiggity when it comes to wrestling.

I thought it was cool. In fact, that was me that came up to you that Thursday night between the Gamma Ray and Helloween sets and complimented you on it. Damn, at the time I did not realize that was YOU as in Hoyt (I've seen your posts all the time). I wish I've known otherwise, I would've gotten you proper intruduction. Well, now that I know what you look like. I do remember you asking me if I saw your band playing Wednesday evening, but unfortunately, due to being slammed at work and such, I was barely able to get the two days that I had to take to attend this at all, thus no Wednesday night for me (although I'd love to have got to go, but at least I still get to look forward to seeing Circle II Circle play on the 10th here in this area at Jaxx). Hey, how you choose to look is your business and those that don't like it can go fuck themselves!

When you get tired of that red look, you ought to try blue! I think that would also look really cool.

hey I wasn't the one who made the initial comparison. Take that up with the ever so clever Hal9000

Often imitated, never duplicated.
And for the record, I never said I didn't like your hair, I just think it *might* be more damaging than some harmless cigarette smoke. Some people (not me of course) might think it's a desperate cry for attention, but I think it's bold and sassy.

Nah. It's all about attention.

Hahahahaha, even that girl who thought she was Geoff Tate's twin looks more like Geoff than you look like that dude there.

Wow, people have really been cracking on her lately. I don't know her, but does she really deserve this abuse? Give compliments instead of criticism, that's the philosophy I live by. I like to spread sunshine instead of raining on everyone's parade, but that's just the kind of generous, selfless person I am.

I know you didn't mean any offense. I just didn't want my ever so clever comment to get to your head. haha so I rolly eyed you so you wouldn't take it seriously.

The story for those interested.

Me - Patrick Hoyt Parris

Are you sure I've met you in person? :Smug:

CHEERS -

Paul "Pellaz" Cashman - for being one of my best friends and for getting me interested in ProgPower these many years ago. Paul would give a friend his last dollar if he thought it would help them out.

Yardleybates and Yippee38 - for offering a complete stranger (that would be me) a seat at the forum lunch at Front Page News.

Jesse - was a very outgoing, really cool chick. I was glad to meet her.

Freakchylde - Lara is awesome.

FatesFan and Edgeofthorns - for grabbing me out of a crowd to say hi.

Exploding "BOOM!" Ned - c'mon, it's Mike. He was there helping me find cool CDs before I had access to the internet.

Rider of Theli - Hoyt treats me with respect and with tact. Thanks, buddy!

Jon Oliva - for playing a lot of songs that mean a lot to me personally - including "Believe" and "When The Crowds Are Gone."

and Glenn, of course, who always makes me feel included.

JEERS -

Paul summed up the hotel issues.

Some guy spilling beer on me and the guy sitting two seats over from me (!). Enjoy your adult beverages, guys, but be somewhat conscientious.

"Con crud," or, in this case, "festival crud."

Hardly any restaurants with later hours within walking distance.

Just one thing that people dont seem to know about Checkers over on 10th is open late!!! We went there after the shows on Wednesday at least after 2:30 AM and it was the BOMB!!!

Also I think there is a Thai Food place open later as well as a Domino's Pizza.

:headbang:

We ate at Checkers one night, too. The food is REALLY good. Cheers to that.

However: Jeers to their Chilli burger, not because it tastes bad - it doesn't, it's delicious! But because it causes the gas and the poop. I got up at least four times in the middle of the night thanks to that damn burger. :ill:
