DragonForce & Turisas N. American Tour

Alright, Sayreville, NJ is only about 3 hours from me... Give or take. If I take a train down, how far are you from the train station? I just may drag my spawn down for this...

Now you can finally met him too! I know that Zod and a couple others have met him before. :)

Would be great to have him join us (Metal Thorn?) lol. When you ask about the train station, which do you mean? Closest to the venue? I'm near many train and bus stations from NYC. Not sure which line you would take. Think my youngest offspring may attend as well.

He likes, "MetalRock" LOL, but he came up with that uh, years ago. :)

I have a couple of things rolling around right now, but will keep you updated.

I recently bought the Paganfest edition of The Varangian Way by Turisas and watched the bonus DVD first. Those boys can really tear it up live, and with a violinist and accordionist, to boot! Hell yeah, I am WAY looking forward tio seeing TURISAS play live! Oh yeah, and Dragonforce are pretty good, too.

You must love Tokio Hotel too.

Wow, she's kinda hawt.

--Oh, wait.

I saw these guys perform earlier tonight (free ticket, free ride into town, free parking: I accompanied a friend who needed handicapped assistance), and I have to admit, they were quite good at what they do (German pop-rock, I guess). They're already huge in Europe.

Pretty full sound for a 3-piece band plus vocalist, and as far as I could tell, they weren't piping in anything. None of the band members is over 20; I've seen sloppier shows from bands twice their age.

Shortest show I've ever seen at the Tabernacle, though. About an hour and 5 minutes including two encores. I was glad I didn't pay for a ticket.
That big ol' stage was amazingly empty, too; you coulda square-danced on stage-right.

They're not my cuppa by a long shot, but I wish them well over here.

Ahem.

.....Meanwhile, back in Holmgaaaaarrrrd and beyonnnnd....... :)
