For those not in attendance, what happened with Damian and his "guest"?

In regards to the "kids" and making the argument that PP is an "all ages show." I would offer that until the "kids" start forking out $140 for a ticket, hundreds more on plane tix, hotel arrangements(which they can't even make), booze, food, shitloads of merch, etc... until they start doing that, maybe this show should continue to be aimed at adults. Furthermore, adults who are able to make the distinction between what is meant to be in good fun, and what is meant to be intentionally raunchy and offensive.

Being the uncle of one of the kids in question that BOUGHT THE TICKET FOR SAID KID, I wasn't expecting that to happen either. I enjoyed Damian's little "artistic contribution" when she first came out. I will say that the whole sex/drugs/R&R thing definitely isn't lost to me. If she had just strutted around the stage and jiggled a little I would've been fine. But when the bands know it's an all ages show and they decide to do something like that they should at least keep what's going on PG-13. I'm sure Lance King wasn't very pleased at what happend either and he's brought his kids the past 2 years. When fans of good music are told there's an all-ages event that they can take the family to they should be able to, no matter how much it costs.

I think those who were offended are taking the "all ages" defense to the extreme. My guess is, Glenn makes this an "all-ages" event as to not exclude the 16 and 17 year olds who are serious fans of this genre, not because he's trying to tap the Sponge Bob demographic. Let's be fair, Glenn does nothing to cater to kids or even young adults. Not to mention, this event regularly features alcohol abuse, profanity, corset night, folks in bondage wear, t-shirts with all sorts of graphic images, etc.

Understand, I'm not judging anyone who brings their kids to such an event. Personally, I think it's kind of cool that you're open-minded. And the fact of the matter is, they probably see worse on TV and the internet every day (when mom and dad aren't looking). All I'm saying is, when your kid is at a Metal show at 1:30AM on a Saturday night, at an event that features all that I previously mentioned, perhaps the moral high ground is no longer yours to take.

Not that the thing offended me personally, but it was just cheap and out of place. It was a very cliche move on Damian's part that just seemed silly. Call me up tight or whatever, but I like to think that the PP audience has a little more class than your typical "gangsta rap" artist. Maybe I'm just naive though. ;)

I think those who are directly criticizing Damian, have to first consider that much of the world doesn't view nudity and female sexuality as a bad thing. I don't think you can expect someone who isn't from the U.S. to understand the nuances of our culture. Obviously, he didn't think he was doing anything wrong. I'm quite sure if he had done the same thing, in a number of other countries, no one would have batted an eye.

It doesn't matter to me if he hangs out in a strip club every night, but I thought it was just silly. With that said, North America isn't such a bad place to live you know. ;)

As always and with everything, to each their own. Personally, it added nothing to the show for me. But that was only because she was a terrible dancer.

I never said it was. Like every country, America has its pluses and minuses.

I'm just offended because she didn't have boobs.
