What new bands do you want to see for PP VIII?

After allot of thought i need to change my four:

SCAR SYMMETRY - STILL LOVE THEM
CLOUDSCAPE - CRIMSON SKIES IS AWESOME
FRAGILE VASTNESS- JUST GOT THEIR NEW CD AND IT SLAYS
TAROT - I MEAN FOR GOSH SAKE IT'S TAROT

Cloudscape... I have to say it... DUDE!!! :headbang: Hearing the cd is one thing... seeing Mike do his thing live is something else entirely. That man has a seriously volcanic voice, and he's the shiznit too boot. I'm all for them, not only for the music, but for the company. Patrick is one of the funniest gutter minded individuals I think I've ever met (just don't watch the gaseous video on his cell phone - you've been warned).

Others I would absolutely adore seeing:
SunCaged, Pantommind, Fates (of course), Pretty Maids, Section 16, The Gathering and Dead Soul Tribe with a few very special guests. More than four, I know. *sorry*

I am going with band that could actually play prog power, otherwise my list would be totally different..

Wolverine
Poverty's No Crime
OSI (yeah, they propably won't, but one can dream)
After Forever

Hmm, yeah, on second thought swap out Porcupine Tree for either Communic, Bloodbound, Arcturus or Tarot.

--Not that PT isn't great, but I can't see Glenn booking them and they have toured the States twice recently...did quite well here, too, the second time, with their own soundman and mixing board.....

Dream Theater (with special guest Kevin Moore)
Nevermore (I guess we can still dream, right?)
Lost Horizon (they need a singer)
Trevor Rabin (prog rock people check out "Can't Look Away")

also...

Racer X
Nocturnal Rites
Iced Earth (special guest Officer Matt Barlow)
Ensiferum
Strapping Young Lad
Dragonforce
Rhapsody
Xandria
Wintersun
Finntroll

DEMONS & WIZARDS (this alone would make me go)

Some other bands that would be appropriate for this event:

Morgana Lefay
Grave Digger
Hammerfall
Primal Fear
Nocturnal Rites

Astral Doors
Anubis Gate
Solid Vision
Outworld
Okay, you got me on this one. Of your four yeah i would love to see them all ESPECIALLY OUTWORLD(a full 90 minute set) SOLIDVISION(i mean what can you say), but i have to add CLOUDSCAPE, and/or SCAR SYMMETRY/TAROT, then that would be killer, and also look at the list 13Shadesof Gray submitted, well i also ditto her choices.:headbang:

Labyrinth: A power/prog band that would appeal to tons of people. A big must and long overdue!!

Enchant: An awesome band that certainly could muster enough heavy prog songs to please even teh metal heads. They have lots of fans and are certainly heavier than Nightingale for example. There are barker bands, why not lighter bands?

Wolverine: This is one of these awesome superior bands that absolutely need to play PP USA. It's a given to me.

Cheers!

Steve

I some suggestions. For starters

Together with:
Demons & Wizards (if asking for Blind Guardian and Iced Earth is too much)
Arjen (doing a Jorn-like set spanning his several projects)

Also would like to see:
Rhapsody (WITH some orchestra of sorts; I know I'm going overboard)
Fates Warning
Dragonforce

Since I'm really bored waiting on laundry.. here's the top results;

By a LANDSLIDE - Nocturnal Rites - 15

Followed by bands w/ 6+ mentions

Primal Fear - 11
Dream Evil - 10
Labyrinth - 9
Sonata Arctica - 9
Fates Warning - 8
Scar Symmetry - 7
Elvenking -7
Viring Steele - 7
Riverside - 6
Rhapsody - 6
Iron Savior - 6

Bands w/ 5 mentions; Tarot, Enchant, Astral Doors, Poverty's No Crime

Too many bands w/ one mention a lot w/ 2-4
