Okay, so since we had the classics (post 93) thread, I was curious as to which is YOUR PERSONAL FAVORITE, what in your opinion is the GREATEST power metal song ever, the one which captures the essence of the style... the one that makes you throw your horns out there and want to headbang the hardest!

Ditto on both! Art of Life IF it can be called a power metal song, even though it's much more than that, Id say this is my favorite song of all time period. Carry On is my most favorite straight up power metal/melodic metal song. They're my most favorite bands (ala Matos) I see tied as number one for me.

No Exit was the greatest power metal disc of all time, and then they had to go and ruin it by becoming the best progressive metal band of all time! What were they thinking?

Carolina IV, for me hands down. I didn't give a shit about power metal until I heard that song!

Phenomenal song. Probably my second favorite under Art of Life and Carry On which are pretty much tied for first. I never get sick of them. Though Carolina is a very progressive song.. progressive power or melodic metal I guess?
