Firewind makes their U.S. debut next year.
I knew Firewind would play! I also noticed that you didn't say it was exclusive so maybe a tour too?
Either way:
HELL YES
They're called Pain of Snoozation.
I quit with the exclusive tags regardless of whether it is or not. If something came up at the last minute or a decent tour, I'm not going to penalize the bands. They work too hard not to catch any break they can get. By now, I think people know that bands work around ProgPower USA instead of the festival working around them.
i've heard of them before on here.i like the videos ive seen on here. that guitar player is BAAAAADDD! looking like next year is going to make up for me missing last years festival. hehehe.
Duly noted and any future references shall reflect said change. I just wish I was one of the people who enjoy their stuff, because it seems like a fantastic band if you like them.
*sigh
I'm sorry, did you just say Gus G is a bad guitarist?
A very cool band.... I didn't jump out of my socks at this news, but they do what they do very well. I guess whenever one the bands has more of a standard power metal sound I just don't go "wow!!" But Firewind definitely rocks.... When a great Prog Rock or Metal Band were to be announced or even if an alterantive style prog band were announced I would be much happier. I know bands like Firewind have a greater popularity so I totally get it, but I'm always looking for the bands that spice up the festival's formula a bit becaue my tastes are very ecclectic....
That said Firewind ROCKS!! but if your going to get a power metal band in here then get my favorite, Sonata Arctica!!!
I'd start with "Allegiance". That is the new revised lineup, and the lineup you will see at the festival.
From there Id get "Forged By Fire". It appears alot of people are mixed with chity on vocals but I thought he was amazing in the band. From the killer power ballad "Land Of Eternity" to the shredding squeal fest of "Kill 2 Live". The CD rips it up.
If you like both of those then track down the rest of the catalog.
Then search out KINRICK - SENSE YOUR DARKNESS. Features original Firewind singer Stephen Frederick (Ex Kenziner, Billy The Kid).
Any way you could post an mp3 of that track Land of Eternity, or perhaps send it to me privately?
Ah, read the Nevermore thread. Now I see the light.
